Meet Hunter

(he, him, his)

Hunter is currently finishing his Master of Social Work degree at Gallaudet University, with plans to graduate in May 2025. He graduated in May 2023 from Utah State University with a BA in Sociology. Hunter enjoys researching the connection between individual identities and the societies and circles they are part of. He is passionate about stories and connections, and loves learning about people’s perspectives and beliefs.

In recent years, Hunter has worked with teenagers in a mental health facility, helping them develop healthy emotional regulation skills. He also completed an internship where he assisted in providing clinical counseling to adults and families facing health issues and poverty.

In his free time, Hunter enjoys reading, gaming, and solving puzzles. If he could live anywhere in the world, he’d choose a cozy cabin near the beach in the Pacific Northwest. Hunter currently lives in Tennessee with his wife and their dog.

Hunter was born deaf into a hearing family and is fluent in ASL. He uses he/him/his pronouns.
